In the scope of the set-up of their European Headquarters, in Luxembourg, our client, a major player within the E-Commerce industry, is currently looking to recruit a:

Head of Compliance (m/f)

We are looking for a Compliance Professional ideally from a Fintech background or Investment / Global Banking to spearhead the Compliance function for the group. This will be a key hire to oversee the end-to-end compliance function, and be a key contributor to developing the Europe business.

Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Implement and Spearhead regulatory compliance strategies and compliance programs

  • Oversight on all Compliance Matters including AML/CFT, Licensing, KYC, Transaction Monitoring, Sanctions Screening, and Reporting

  • Provide advisory and support the business on all compliance matters

  • Be the liaison officer with CSSF and regulatory bodies, as well as facilitating internal and external compliance requirements

  • Enhance and Develop Group-wide AML/CFT policies, standards and operating procedures & controls

  • Work with effectively with other business units

  • Conduct reviews on the adequacy and relevance of regulatory and compliance strategies, policies and frameworks, and oversee enhancements to address control deficiencies

  • Continuously improve and conduct compliance training programs

  • Stay abreast on the relevant regulatory developments, compliance policies and procedures

Required profile

Profile:

  • Degree educated

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in compliance roles of an international scope (AML/CFT, compliance in Payment, Fintech, Investment Banking or Financial Markets)

  • Cross-Border/Regional experience is a plus

  • Accredited AML certifications are advantageous

  • Experience in the payment space is a plus

  • Fluency in English is mandatory

  • Experience in developing and administering internal controls and processes

  • Ability to work collaboratively with a broad range of business functions

  • Located in Luxembourg or in the Greater Region to enable the location of the central administration in Luxembourg
